Desperately seeking...

This past Friday, December 10th, I was at Bethesda by the Sea in Palm Beach, shooting Christmas photos with a family.  We took a quick break to regroup and, there in the courtyard, I witnessed a young man drop to one knee, holding the hand of a lovely, and very puzzled young woman.  I began documenting the moment and before I knew it I had captured all the pivotal moments - the introduction of the ring, her expression, the moment she said, "YES!!", and then the tender moments that followed with them just holding one another silently.  I didn't want to interrupt them, so I snapped away and stood quietly aside.  I rejoined the Christmas photoshoot, keeping one eye on the couple so I could approach them before they left the courtyard.  Sadly, I missed their departure and never got to tell them of the timeless photos I had for them.

I'm thankful for the far reaching branches of facebook to assist me in finding this couple.  I've talked to local news and radio affiliates and even posted on the Today Show's page hoping someone would recognize this couple.

My heart overflows when I think of giving them these photographic memories.  It's such a wonderful reminder why I love what I do.  This couple's world stood still for a moment, with one another, as he took her hand and asked her to be his wife.  Memories will fade over time, but they'll always have something to take them back to that place where there was no one else in the world...but him and her.
